You Can Only Live In The NOW, Not The Past & Not the Future.


Let me make a simple statement about living in the NOW that is very basic and easy to understand, but one that causes most people all kinds of trouble.

You can ONLY physically live in the moment of RIGHT NOW! You cannot go back and live in the past, nor can you go forward and live in the future.

Many people have a problem with letting go of the past and this makes them unable to 'enjoy' living in the present moment. Or people worry and fret about their future, which again keeps them from enjoying their life in this very moment.

Look, the only 'time' every single one us has is RIGHT NOW. You must become 'aware' of this fact from this day forward and consciously recognize the ONLY place you can live at is in the present moment.

When you learn to recognize and live in the present you understand better that the past is something you must let go of. That doesn't mean you have to forget about it. Absolutely not. We all have great memories of people, places, and events that we enjoyed in our past. But when we hang to the pain and bad habits that people and events caused us to have, and let it affect our present, we cannot enjoy our NOW. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Our limiting beliefs come from our past. If you are terrible at handling money your parent/s may have been terrible also. It you have no self-confidence and low self-esteem it probably is because of people and events that occured in your past. If you are unhappy with your life it is most often due to limiting beliefs and false fears that have been 'ingrained' into your sub-conscious mind many years ago.

And the problem is, most people don't even realize these fears and limiting beliefs are in their sub-conscious mind.

The more you learn and recognize about living in the RIGHT NOW the easier it will be to identify and release your limiting beliefs. When you find yourself thinking, feeling, and acting in a way that you are uncomfortable with that is the time to ask yourself "Why do I do this?" Step back and take some time to 'consciously' identify 'your bad habits.' We all know what our 'bad habits' are, but very few of us dig deep and really ask ourselves "Why do I do this?"

And when we begin to ask ourselves these questions we begin to get answers. We become more aware of our inner self. And when we can identify these limiting beliefs we can work to eliminate them from our life. When we do this we take a giant step to changing our life.

The same holds true of our future. By worrying about what will happen in your future you cannot enjoy your present. It is absolutely useless to worry about what hasn't happened yet. The reason you can stop worrying is, you can work RIGHT NOW to change and shape whatever future you want to have, and that fact provides us with excellent motivation to quit fretting about our future and go to work in the present to make it whatever we want.

Practice remembering each day to live in the PRESENT MOMENT you will become much more calm throughout your day. You will become more 'aware' of what is going on in your life at this exact time. You will increase your 'control' over your thoughts. You will better realize how your past is affecting your life at the present time. And you will increase your inner power to shape your future.

Note: The more you learn here the more overwhelming it may seem. It probably seems like so much to remember and practice. And it is. That is why you must continue to come back daily and re-read a little here and a little there. Before long it will become ingrained into your mind and all of a suddent you will realize YOU ARE LIVING IT!
